Terms & Conditions

Effective from: 1 May 2026

The legally binding version of the Terms & Conditions is in Slovak. This English version is provided for the convenience of foreign customers; in case of any discrepancy, the Slovak version prevails.

I. Introductory provisions

These Terms & Conditions („T&C") govern the rights and obligations between the seller and the buyer arising from the purchase contract concluded for goods offered on the website ruzickagifts.com.

II. Definitions

  • Seller – the entity identified in Article I.
  • Buyer – any natural or legal person concluding a purchase contract with the seller.
  • Consumer – a natural person who, when concluding the contract, is not acting in the course of a business activity.
  • Goods – products offered on ruzickagifts.com (handmade crochet gift sets and sets for crocheters and knitters).
  • Personalised goods – goods with an individual text or element specified by the buyer. Specifically, this means a crochet heart with a personalised text (name, nickname or other individual word). Choosing a colour variant, tier, lid motif or any other element from a pre-set list does not count as personalisation.

III. Order and conclusion of the purchase contract

Goods displayed on the website are an informational offer. The buyer places an order electronically through the order form. Before submitting, the buyer must verify the contents of the cart, selected variants, personalisation and contact / delivery details.

By submitting the order, the buyer confirms that they have read and agree to these T&C and to the Privacy Policy.

The purchase contract is concluded when the seller's order confirmation email is delivered to the buyer's inbox.

IV. Prices and payment

All prices on the website are final and stated in euros (€). The seller is not a VAT payer; VAT is therefore not charged.

The price does not include shipping fees, which are shown to the buyer in the cart before completing the order.

Payment methods:

  • Online card payment via the GoPay payment gateway (GoPay s. r. o.) — card payment, or Google Pay / Apple Pay. Payment is made immediately during checkout.
  • Bank transfer to the seller's account — payment details (IBAN and variable symbol / reference number) are shown to the buyer immediately after the order is submitted.

For card payments, goods are dispatched after the payment is completed successfully. For bank transfers, payment is due within 3 business days of submitting the order and goods are dispatched only after the payment is credited to the seller's account.

V. Delivery

Goods are delivered through the carrier Packeta. Delivery area: Slovak Republic. The shipping cost depends on the chosen delivery method and is shown during checkout:

  • Packeta pickup point (branch or Z-Box): €3.40
  • Home delivery (Packeta): €6.00

Shipping costs are paid by the buyer.

Dispatch time: goods are dispatched within 7 business days of receipt of payment. With the priority shipping option (extra €5), dispatch is within 2 business days.

Local pickup: free pickup in Šamorín is available. The pickup time is arranged individually after the order by email or phone.

Carrier delivery time is not part of the dispatch period and is governed by the carrier's terms.

VI. Withdrawal from the contract by the consumer

Pursuant to Act No. 102/2014 Coll. on consumer protection in distance sales, the consumer has the right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days of receipt of the goods without giving a reason.

The withdrawal can be made in writing to the seller's registered address or by email to ruzickagifts@gmail.com. A model withdrawal form is available on a separate page.

After withdrawal, the consumer must return the goods to the seller within 14 days. The cost of returning the goods is borne by the consumer. The seller will refund the received payment within 14 days of the withdrawal notice, using the same payment method, unless agreed otherwise. The seller is not obliged to make the refund before receiving the goods back or before the consumer proves the goods have been sent.

Exception — personalised goods. Pursuant to § 7(6)(c) of Act No. 102/2014 Coll., the consumer cannot withdraw from a contract whose subject is the sale of goods made to the consumer's specifications, custom-made goods or goods designated specifically for one consumer. Specifically: if the order contains a crochet heart with personalised text (name, nickname or any other individual word specified by the buyer), the right to withdraw from the contract does not apply to such an order. For an order without personalised text, the right to withdraw applies as standard — choosing a colour variant, motif or any other element from a pre-set list does not count as personalisation.

VII. Complaints and liability for defects

The seller is liable for defects in the goods at the time of receipt by the buyer and for defects that arise during the warranty period of 24 months from receipt of the goods by the consumer.

Complaints should be made without undue delay after discovering the defect, by email to ruzickagifts@gmail.com or by post to the seller's registered address. Please attach a proof of purchase and a description of the defect.

The seller will resolve the complaint no later than 30 days from its submission. Detailed terms are set out in the Complaints Procedure.

VIII. Personal data protection

Processing of personal data is governed by EU Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR) and Act No. 18/2018 Coll. Details are set out in the Privacy Policy document.

IX. Out-of-court dispute resolution

The consumer has the right to ask the seller for redress if they are not satisfied with the way the seller handled their complaint, or if they believe the seller has violated their rights.

The consumer may submit a proposal to initiate alternative dispute resolution to a registered ADR body (under Act No. 391/2015 Coll.), and may also use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

X. Final provisions

Matters not covered by these T&C are governed by the law of the Slovak Republic, in particular the Civil Code (Act No. 40/1964 Coll.) and Act No. 102/2014 Coll.

The seller reserves the right to amend these T&C. The version valid at the time the order is submitted applies to that order.

These Terms & Conditions become effective on 1 May 2026.
